Hydro Composites employs a highly skilled staff with over 25 years of experience in the fiberglass industry. We have the ability to design and fabricate all of our own molds for the products we manufacture. Our molds are generally constructed using fiberglass materials and are robust in design allowing for many parts to be pulled from each mold. The use of fiberglass tooling materials allows our molds to be repaired when damaged and put back into production with little downtime. Additionally, these materials minimize the upkeep required to maintain the molds in a quality condition. Our skills coupled with our CAD capabilities will allow us to illustrate your products mold design prior to process commencement.
All mold drawings must be signed and approved by the customer before fabrication will begin.

MOLD FABRICATION PROJECT EXAMPLE
Dog Bone Pool Mold
In July 2018 Hydro Composites, LLC (HC) was awarded a project to design and build a custom Dog Bone shaped swimming pool for pets to visit the Jacksonville Jaguars Stadium during football games. Hydro’s design and mold team set out to create and draft in CAD a pool that would capture the essence of the customer’s vision of a bone-shaped pool for pets to frolic in. HC’s mold shop started with a plug shape meticulously constructed of Melamine board and wood framing. From this plug, a fiberglass part was produced to serve as the master to the final female mold that production parts would be pulled from. The project took close to 10 weeks to complete but the resulting product was received with compliments by all involved in the project.
