Founded in 2007, out of the necessity for quality fiberglass products at a competitive price and timely manner, Hydro Composites, LLC has become a leader in FRP production of various tanks and FRP products. Hydro Composites, LLC began immediate production in August 2007 of specialized fiberglass products for the Aquaculture, Irrigation, and Wastewater industries.

Since 2007, Hydro Composites has diversified and now manufactures products such as rainwater capture tanks, water slides, amusement rides, sports products, Hide A Way wildlife blinds, sugar kettles, and pre-formed ponds. We also manufacture OEM products and offer repair services for all fiberglass needs.

With CAD drawing capabilities and a highly experienced fabrication team Hydro Composites, LLC does its own mold work and engineering for products. We have the ability to be a “one-stop fiberglass shop” for all of your FRP needs.

Meet the Team

Chris MillsManaging Member

Chris Mills received his Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University (1996) in Aquaculture with a minor in Agricultural Business. After graduation from LSU, Chris took a position as the Production Manager of Aquaculture Systems Technologies, LLC, manufacturer of Propeller Wash and Small Bubble Wash Bead Filters. Chris’ 6.5-year tenure at AST exposed him to many aspects of aquatic life support. Chris managed all manufacturing and testing of filtration units, design and construction of skid mounted and custom filtration systems, job start-ups and equipment training, assistance with fabrication and data collection for research grants, sales, and technical support for all of AST’s products, among other various responsibilities. In July 2003 Chris accepted a position with Emperor Aquatics, Inc., manufacturer of UV Sterilizers and other Aquatic Life Support Equipment. As the Southeast-Midwest Regional Sales Manager, Chris provided sales, consulting, and technical support of aquatic life support equipment to the Aquaculture, Aquarium, Water Garden, Wastewater, and Zoo industries.

Chris served as an officer on the Board of Directors the Aquaculture Suppliers Association.

In his spare time, Chris enjoys spending time with his family as well as hunting and fishing.

Adrian GonzalezDrafting Specialist

Adrian joined our team in June of 2019, having several years of experience drafting composite vessels and structures for various composite manufacturers. Graduating from Coastal Bend College (2012) with an A.A.S. degree (Associates of Applied Science), his education and work experience make him a major component of our team here at Hydro Composites.
