Endangered Species Raceway Tanks

Hydro Composites constructed (5) of our model FBT-1570.C custom 2-piece bolt together raceway tanks for the new Endangered Species building at the USFWS San Marcos NFH in San Marcos, TX. The tanks were 420” L x 36” W x 24” D with (2) end drain sumps with 2” sch. 80 PVC fittings and multiple screen slots for dividers. The raceways were fabricated with embedded steel reinforcement and 2” poly-iso structural foam with a dark pool blue interior and exterior gel coat and required to meet a 1/8” maximum sidewall deflection specification when completely full of water. HC also provided (50) custom-built FRP tank supports for these tanks. These tanks were delivered in halves for shipping purposes and bolted together on-site by the contractor.
